The stay was good. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. The location was convenient for exploring the area and we could see a nice view of the mountains from the window. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our own meals, which was a plus. The hosts were friendly and helpful. it was a decent place to stay for New Year's.

The area around the hotel was a bit industrial and not as charming as we had hoped. It was a bit of a drive to find a quaint village or to get to the main town.

Stylish, comfortable, clean and cozy cottage within a few minutes walk from a beautiful staircase. It had everything you could need for self-catering and a lovely view of a famous mountain from the lounge window. Definitely recommend.

Nothing to do with the property itself but if you don't know the area, the town is fairly large and industrial. However, within a very short drive, you are back in unspoilt Scottish Highlands.

I must mention that although Fort William is a larger and more industrial area, Taorbeag is located in the quieter village of Banavie. This allowed for a peaceful and picturesque escape, with the added bonus of a canal and lochs just across the road for enjoyable walks.
